Established in 2002, FMA Engineering has provided contract engineering services to clients throughout the United States. We provide our clients with highly innovative solutions enabling them to remain focused on their core competencies.
Design: FMA supports clients needs by providing the needed skills to take ideas from napkin sketches to the manufacturing floor. We have worked with clients in many industries, including Automobile Racing, Medical Equipment and Semi-Conductor Equipment. The latter two industries being ones that are notoriously difficult to navigate.
Analysis: We also perform analysis of the design to help ensure it will meet the demands placed upon it when in use. Engineering analysis techniques/tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) investigates the structural and thermal properties of a component or assembly, while Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) investigates fluid flow through or around an object.
Prototyping: Building a preliminary model of a product can be an important step in the development process. This step can aid in answering questions as to fit, form, and function. Prototyping can also help identify problems before resulting in costly production errors.
Validation & Verification: Frequently referred to as V&V, design validation and verification is an important step in finalizing a design to ensure that the design, product, or system meets it’s requirements and specifications and fulfills it’s desired purpose. Techniques such as, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) are employed during this process.
Regulatory: We have years of experience dealing with regulatory agencies such as UL, CE, ISO, and the FDA and can assist in navigating the turbulent waters of these agencies.
We place our clients bottom line at the top of our priority list!
